Fit depends on pallet dimensions and weight as well as count. Include both in your quote request and we will confirm the van works.

Van or box truck?

When a van is the better fit

Choose a van for one to three pallets, for deliveries into dense city streets, and for routes where a smaller vehicle is easier to park and unload. Once a load reaches four pallets or about 1,500 lb, a 16 ft refrigerated box truck is the better match.

Searching for reefer vans to rent? We don’t rent vehicles. We’re a carrier: the van comes with a driver, and you don’t have to manage insurance, maintenance, or the refrigeration unit yourself.

Refrigerated van questions

Have a specific requirement?
Let’s talk: (858) 367-3581

How many pallets fit in a refrigerated van?

Our Ford Transit refrigerated vans carry 1–3 pallets, up to about 1,500 lb. The exact count depends on pallet size and how high the freight is stacked.

Can a refrigerated van carry frozen food?

Yes. Our vans hold temperatures from −20°F to ambient, so they can run frozen loads at 0°F or below as well as chilled and cool freight.

What is a refrigerated van called?

You will hear reefer van, refrigerated delivery van, or refrigerated cargo van. They all mean a van with an insulated cargo area and its own refrigeration unit.

Can a van run make multiple stops?

Yes. Multi-stop routes are common for restaurant and food service deliveries. List each stop and its delivery window in your request.

Do you rent refrigerated vans?

No. We provide the van with a driver as a delivery service, so there is no vehicle, refrigeration unit, or driver for you to manage.
